01 — Who is responsible
Alexandre Droual, Toulouse, France — Email on request: reach me on LinkedIn or book a call. — is the data controller for this site and its newsletter.
02 — Where it runs
The site and the newsletter run on a server I manage in the EU.
03 — Server logs
Like any web server, mine keeps standard access logs — including your IP address and browser user agent — for a short period, to keep the site secure and to fix errors.
04 — Analytics
Visits are measured with Umami, self-hosted at stats.droual.com. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses.
05 — Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address (and name, if you give it) is stored in Listmonk, self-hosted at news.droual.com, and used only to send the newsletter. The newsletter may record opens and clicks in aggregate, to see what is worth writing more of. Emails are delivered through Resend (Resend, Inc.), which processes your address to deliver messages. Legal basis: your consent, confirmed by double opt-in.
06 — Booking a call
Booking a call takes you to Cal.com, which processes the details you enter under its own privacy policy.
07 — Transfers outside the EU
Resend and Cal.com are US companies. Transfers of your data to them rely on their standard safeguards: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
08 — How long data is kept
Unsubscribing, from a link in any email, stops all emails at once. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time by writing to Email on request: reach me on LinkedIn or book a call..
09 — Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its use. Write to Email on request: reach me on LinkedIn or book a call.. You can also complain to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
